This scholarship will award approximately $800 for the academic year. The applicant
must respond to a prompt with a personal statement of 250-500 words. The recipient
must be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in English. The recipient must
maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must remain a full-time student while holding
the scholarship.

be a continuing freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in English with a creative
writing focus and demonstrated proficiency in the discipline. The recipient must maintain
a GPA of 3.5 or higher and remain a full-time student.
